Activities & Services: 

             This institute offers consultancy and testing services for the public in each department. The rules and regulations  are  followed  by  the  Consultancy   Cell   of  the institute. The  followings  are   the consultancy and testing services offered.

1. Department of Civil Engg.

­ The different services offered by the deptt. are as below:

Consultancy/Testing Services:- 
This includes Engineering  Surveys,  Soil   Investigation,  Planning,   CAD   based Structural Design & Drafting of RCC / Steel Structures ( i. e. Bridges, Over Head Tanks, Buildings, Stop Dams etc.), Geometric and Structural Design of Flexible and Rigid Pavements. 

Topographic Surveys :-
By latest Electronic - Digital Theodolite, Modern Auto Levels, Digital Plan meters etc. 

Quality Control Test/ Services :-
Department is well equipped with latest equipments to conduct   quality control test of all type of engineering material, such as, Stone, Bricks Aggregate, Cement, Soil, Water, Steel & Bitumen, etc.

2.  Department of Mechanical Engg.

All type of ferrous and non ferrous materials are tested in material testing lab of the deptt. In near future it is expected to open automobile testing like testing of fuel pump, wheel balancing and computerized alignment, smoke check and gas check analyzer, etc.

3.  Department of Electrical Engg.

The department offers testing of KVA rating of Welding transformers, calibration of Voltmeters, Ammeters, Meggers and Earth testers. Facilities for testing of KW/ HP rating of induction motors, etc may be expected in near future. Electrification of a few Govt. buildings has been also carried out.

4.  Department of mining & Mine Surveying

The department  offers  consultancy  services  in  the field of survey  of  surface  & underground bodies as well as testing of coal samples,  repairing &  maintenance of survey equipments, etc.
